In no way, shape, or form am I sorry to see September go.
I’ve recently discovered September is my LEAST favorite of the 12 months.
Why this extreme distaste?
Well, in Texas, the oppressive heat settles in during July. Okay, no problem. It’s July. I can handle some days in the 100s.
Then August rolls around. The “I start sweating the second I walk outside” heat lingers day and night, but I can put up with it a little longer.
And now September stomps on in. After 6 weeks of 95-105 temperatures, I’m kinda ready for a break, but NOOOOOOOO. It’s a FULL month of heat, humidity, and, the greatest laugh of all, the official start of fall.
When the calendar says it’s fall and football season is upon us, I would thoroughly appreciate a little less humidity and at least some cooler nights and mornings.
Is that so much to ask for?!?!
Despite all this whiny pants complaining, my little autumnal heart is pitter-pattering with glee that it is now October, and therefore a step closer to cold weather and the holiday trifecta.
So what has been great about the past month? In addition to more and more joy from my little nugget, I’d say these next few items were pretty good stuff. Just a few beauty products, reads, snacks, and, of course, workout tunes that have made the past month all the more tolerable.
Check em out for yourself, and hopefully they’ll bring a lil joy to you, too!

As an Amazon prime family, I'm embarrassed to say I just discovered that I had thousands of books (AND MAGAZINES) at my fingertips just awaiting my eager reading. I've been browsing through Rachel Ray Every Day, Bon Appetit, and The Forgotten Sister, a Pride and Prejuduce spin-off from Mary Bennet's point of view.
