Wow wow weewow, it is the last day of November!
How is that possible? I feel like I just put out my turkeys and pilgrims, and now I must heavy-heartedly toss my pumpkins in exchange for holly, fir, and boxwood. Fair trade, I’d say.
As November makes one last stand today and I mentally still think of it as fall, I’d love to share some things that have rocked my socks this month.
Let me be very clear to y’all as to not stir up any confusion or bewilderment in the coming months, pumpkin is not GONE from HHT. Rather, I will be trying my darnedest to spread love to the other flavors of the season such as peppermint, cranberry, and gingerbread.
Today I’m sharing some things I’ve been doing, munching on, sipping on, and most thoroughly enjoying for these past few weeks. Enjoy! And yes, don’t worry, you’re regularly scheduled Wal-Marting will return next week, and recipes are coming tomorrow and Friday. Have no fear.
1. Lundberg Smoky Maple Rice Chips
Salty sweet rice chips?! I couldn't resist snagging a bag of these last time I was at Sprouts in Dallas. Don't worry, the maple really is subtle, giving this more of an alternative BBQ-flavored chip. And when they say smoky, they aren't kidding. A little odd, but I dig em. They would be outrageously fantastic crumbled over chili! I know what I'm doing this weekend...
2. Anthropology's Boulangerie Candles
With flavors like Vanilla Fig, Oatmeal Cookie, Angel Food, and, GASP, Pumpkin Souffle, these fabulous candles are reminiscent of walking into a bakery without being overly sweet. To your shock and surprise, Pumpkin Souffle is my favie.
3. Pound Workout Class
Drumming. Pilates. Intervals. I'm hooked, my friends. Check out my review from a few weeks ago!
4. Pumpkin Spice Whole Bean Decaf Coffee from Central Market or Fresh Market
As a pregnant pumpkin fanatic, finding this at both Central Market here in Texas and Fresh Market back in Tenneessee brought much joy and gladness to my morning ritual. Life is too short to drink boring coffee, even if it is decaf.
5. Trader Joe's Face Mask Sampler
As someone who loves some spa time but hates how much it costs, this is a great way to have your own spa treatment for a fraction of the price at your very own home. I've tried all three, and they all smell incredible and haven't irritated my sensitive, acne-prone skin.
6. Target's Sherpa Vest in Knox Rose
I love a good vest; and now that my stomach is growing by the second, I'm learning that layers are my friend. At $35, this was one of those impulse buys that was well worth it!
7. Yes Please!
Part essays, part memoroire, this comedy novel by Amy Poehler is sure to make you awkwardly laugh out loud in the doctor's office, on airplanes, and in your bed at night. Though occasionally inappropriate, I still enjoyed this quick and easy read.
