Happy New Year’s Eve, y’all!
What are ya up to this evening? Are you laying low with Netflix, sweatpants, and a bowl of popcorn? Or are you heading out to a schwanky party with friends? Shooting off fireworks? Watching bowl games?
Believe it or not, I’m actually going out for a little romantic rendezvous with my mister. Since this is most likely our last weekend together until his work in D.C. is finished, we’re heading up to Dallas for a date night at The Mercury and a staycation at The Westin. Will we probably watch a movie in the hotel room and fall asleep at 10:48? Most likely, but at least we will be together.
This past week, I’ve enjoyed a few more classes courtesy of Knoxville’s YMCA branches. I’ve also had a few days off chilling out in the U-Haul with my madre. Nonetheless, I’ve done what I could to stay healthy and happy on the road (check out yesterday’s post for my healthy travel advice!).
Here’s what my boy and I have been up to stay fit.
Sunday: jolly 2 mile Christmas jog between brunch and dinner
Monday: 3 mile jog in my neighborhood
Tuesday: Group Fight Class at the Westside YMCA
Wednesday: I'm Pregnant Not Handicapped Workout
Warm-Up: 1000 M row
3 Rounds: 25 of each, then 20 of each, then 15 of each (took me 35ish minutes)
Plate thruster (25)
Step-ups (hard count..so 25 on left then 25 on right)
Clean and press (45)
Single-leg deadlift (45...hard count)
Single-leg battle rope (hard count)
Sit-ups (I did them on a ball to make them a bit more comfortable)
Thursday: 2 mile jog before hopping in the U-Hual and driving to Little Rock
Friday: More quality car time from Little Rock to Corsciana+unloading U-Hual+unpacking
Saturday: Long Overdue SQUATERDAY
1 mile jog warm-up
50 back squats (on Smith machine, 105); 10 push-ups and 1 pull-up
40 lunges on each leg (on Smith, 105); 10 wall balls and 1 pull-up
30 plie squats (on Smith, 115); 10 push-ups and 1 pull-up
20 back squat pulses (on Smith, 115); 10 wall balls and 1 pull-up
10 curtsy squats (on Smith, 115); 10 push-ups and 1 pull-up
If you feel like a baller, you can go back up the squat ladder...some days I am a baller, and some days I admit I'm nearly 30 weeks pregnant. That's life sometimes, huh?
