34 weeks down, just 6 to go!
With that said, though, this weekend I've had my first and hopefully only bout of sickness in my whole pregnancy. Starting Monday, I tickle/irritation set into the back of my throat. I prayed I wasn't coming down with the strep strain that is running rampant in the halls of my elementary school. Luckily, it gravitated out of my throat and just into some good, ol' fashion nasal congestion. Alas, when you're 34 weeks pregnant and therefore my prone to swelling, my sinuses ended up swelling up and getting slightly infected by Friday.
Sinus infection while 34 weeks pregnant is no fun.
Pretty much all you can do to treat it is nap, take a Tylenol, steam in the shower, and suck on a cough drop. That's about all.
Nonetheless, I'm on the mend after 48 hours on the couch with much napping and HGTV/Food Network-watching.
When I feel a little under the weather, I usually feel better if I can get in a little workout. However, when that sinus pressure set in Friday and Saturday, I knew better than to push it.I stayed in my sweats on the couch with mountains of tissues around me.
Here's what my workouts looked out for this week, with a few sick/rest days in the mix. Hopefully y'all don't get taken down by a cold any time soon. If you do, though, it's okay to listen to your body and rest a little extra. It will certainly help you bounce back to your normal energy and strength much faster.
Keep movie' y'all, and be well!
