What's up party people?!
Do you ever feel like you just don't have time for life? I feel like when Valentine's Day, my birthday, or wedding anniversary roll around every year, I have better things to do than celebrate. But sometimes, you've gotta make time for those date nights. While Will was actually out of town on our wedding anniversary a few weeks ago and gave me an IOU on a night out, I decided to finally cash it in last night.
My husband took me to a fancy-pants dinner at The Mercury in Dallas last night...lobster tacos, Roquefort wedge salad, 9 oz. medium-rare filet, butter French fries, and, to top it all off, froyo. Did I feel sick or guilty about eating all of this? Absolutely not.
I may need a little extra time in the gym today. Will I? Probably not. All things in moderation, right?
I don't know about you, but I am SUPER appreciative of air conditioning. At this point in the summer, outdoor workouts are nauseating. Even earlier in the morning or later into the evening, it's in the 90s. Barf. Once we start heading back into the 80s, I'll be doing more outdoor workouts. But for now, A.C. is my friend.
Monday- Upperbody Burn
Clean and jerk- I did 5-5-3-3-1-1 building to my max (65 lb)
15 of each, 3 sets- bench press (55 lb), HSPU, DB fly (15 lb)
15 of each, 3 sets- tricep pushups, kickbacks (10 lb), skull crushers (15 lb)
10 of each, 3 sets- - bicep rows (palms up), curls (15 lb), ball slams (14 lb)
15 of each, 3 sets- reverse fly (10 lb), bar row (palms down), 30 second hold of reverse plank
Tuesday- Last morning Zumba class :(
Do each move for one minute, rest 20 seconds, and complete series; repeat doing each for 45 seconds and 20 seconds rest; repeat doing each for 30 seconds.
Pistol squats, step ups, spiders planks, tricip dips, 180 squat jumps, super mans, thread needle, 1 arm burpees.
every 30 second for 10 minutes-
:00 3 HSPU
:30 2 strict pull ups
50 DU, 10 push press, 10 front squats
3-3-2-2-1-1-1 back squat
50 WB, 40 burps, 30 DL, 20 box jumps, 10 HSPU
