Y’all, what a week it has been!
I’m not entirely sure what city I’m in at the moment…from Knoxville to Dallas to Corsicana to San Antonio and now Austin…
To say McNugget and I have been busy is an understatement.
But, like I always tell you, busy IS NOT AN EXCUSE when it comes to health and fitness, ya hear?!
Now a lot of y’all are recovering from the first week or few days of school, which is a whirlwind in and of itself. BUT, busy teachers and parents and coaches out there, that doesn’t me you don’t have time for a 15 minute walk or 20 minute circuit before or after work.
From walking a few extra minutes in the airport terminals like a dorky pack mule to making up my own circuit while letting little man recharge at my aunt’s house in Dallas to making the most of my hotel gyms, I’m not letting my on-the-go lifestyle derail me from my health goals.
And, let’s be frank friends, keeping my nutrition on point while traveling is even more critical. That means doing a little prep ahead of time like boiling eggs, baking a few sweet potatoes, and researching the kind of dining facilities and kitchen equipment will be available on the road. Knowing where I'll have a mini-fridge or free breakfast or a microwave is SO helpful!
Yes, it takes a little extra time.
Yes, it takes a little extra planning.
Yes, I feel like a red neck bringing in bags and bags and bags of fruit and raw cheese and gluten-free crackers and the like…BUT in the end I’m the winner winner pate dinner (yes, I brought calf pate with me…hard core, I know) because I won’t be wasting money on overpriced hotel snacks and room service.
More money in my pockets. Less junk food in my body.
That’s what this lifestyle is all about!

Saturday: 65 Minute Bootcamp at Knoxville’s Downtown YMCA
Shawna programmed the 12 days of fitness, which is one of my FAVORITE workout templates...it was so tough, though, that we didn't complete it in 65 minutes. Oh well.
Stroller Walking: 2.3 miles
Sunday: Active Recovery/Rest
Stroller Walking: 3.3 miles
Monday: Zumba+Yoga Bootcamp at Knoxville’s West Side YMCA
Walking: 4.8 miles
Tuesday: Travel Day+Airport/Central Market Walking+Guest Room Circuit
3 rounds- 25 single leg glute bridges each side, 25 single leg squat each side, 50 curtsy lunges each side, 50 air squats
Walking: 2.1 miles
Wednesday: 25 Minute Bring Sexy Back Circuit+Drive to San Antonio
Run 2 miles
4 Rounds- 10 deadlifts (95>105), 10 plate thrusters (35), 10 wall ball sit-ups (15)
Stroller Walking: 1.3 miles
Thursday: Hotel Gym 16 Minute Cardio Circuit
Stroller Walking: 2.8 miles
Friday: Hotel Gym 25 Minute Upper Body Circuit +Drive to Austin
Stroller Walking: 2.6 miles
