Well hellllllloooo lovely!
How you doin? Hopefully you are not melting amid this RING OF FIRE that has engulfed two-thirds of the nation.
I don't know about you, but when the heat index is 111, I'm not crazy about heading outside for a jog around the neighborhood. In fact, I'm not crazy about being outside for nearly anything except heading into the car where I can crank my A.C. on full blast until I reach my destination.
While I did manage to get one outdoor workout in this week, it was in the morning before it reached incendiary temperatures out there. I'm still getting little man out for strolls almost daily, but those also occur before 9 a.m.
So how do I manage to still pack in miles of walking? In small spurts, my friends.
I get a mile or so in with McNugget first thing in the morning. Then I get another mile and a halfish after my workout at my YMCA. And if it's a really good day, I may get in a few more miles in the evening when Mr. HHT has come home from work.
I sure do miss winter right about now.
At least winter is here in terms of Game of Thrones (if you've never watched the show then that reference would make NO sense whatsoever...sorry, but just take my word for it).
Alrighty friends, here's how I've been adding to my daily amounts of sweating. Some strength/crossfitish days. Some cardio days. Some walk days. Loads of sweating.
5 Rounds- 5 back squat (95), 5 pull-ups, 10 plie squats (95), 15 bosu burpees, 20 squat pulses on the bosu (what I'm doing above)
Walking- 1.8 miles
Sunday: Rest day/Movie date with Mr. HHT (we saw the new Planet of the Apes...it was entertaining)
Monday: Baby-Has-a-Cold At-Home Workout
5 rounds- 30 double unders (or 60 single jump rope jumps), 20 dumbbell snatches on each side (15), 10 handstand wall walk-ups (click here to check out my tutorial)
Walking- 2.4 miles
Tuesday: Body Combat Class via YouTube in my den since McNugget was still a little sick
Walking- 2.8 miles
Wednesday: Bringin' Sexy Back Workout
5 deadlifts (95), 5 toes to bar,
10 back extension (25), 10 sumo deadlift high pulls,
15 good mornings (55), 15 bicep rows (55)
Walking- 2.6 miles
Thursday: Pound Class at my YMCA
Walking- 4.6 miles
Friday: Front Squat Friday
Front squats (55), push-ups, bicep rows (55)
Walking- 3.7 miles
That's all for this week, friends! Keep doin' what you're doin', as long as you're getting in some form or fashion of movement every day.
