1. Matcha Green Tea Whole Milk Greek Yogurt
As someone who does NOT like green tea, I was pleasantly surprised by the creaminess and slight sweetness of this Greek yogurt. With a subtle green tea flavor and hint of citrus, this yogurt would pair splendidly with more acidic fruits like grapefruit, pineapple, or berries. At 99 cents a pop, it's worth a try!
2. Grassfed Buffalo Butter
As someone who is all bout dat butter, I was stocked to see this. Slightly milder and less salty than a traditional grassfed butter like Kerrygold, I recommend y'all give this a try. While it is a little firmer and thus less spreadable (even at room temperature), it still cooks up a mean fried egg. It's only $2.99 per container, too. Not too shabby.
3. Raw Sauerkraut with Persian Cucumbers
I'm a briny kinda lady, so fermented cabbage+pickles in one container is my JAM! While I've gotta take it easy on cabbage these days (nugget no likey), this is an easy way to give your gut some probiotic love with fermented goodness. Try it with grilled chicken sausage, on a burger, or alongside grilled chicken. Only $3.99, friends. Way cheaper than a bottle of probiotic pills.
4. Mixed Berry RX Bar
I'm PUMPED that Trader Joe's has started carrying these super clean protein bars. With only dried fruit, nuts, and egg whites, I keep these bars in my purse and diaper bag for an easy, portable, Paleo snack on-the-go. At $1.99 a bar, this is THE CHEAPEST PRICE I've ever seen. Ever.
5. 100% Dark Chocolate Bar
No added sugar, soy, or preservatives, this chocolate bar is only for the hardest of hard core dark chocolate fans (like Mr. HHT). While it's a little more expensive at $3.99 a bar, you're not having to pay for additives and junkola. Just pure chocolatey goodness. Try a little walk on the dark side.
6. Organic Jalapeño Limeade
Two words: Spicy Margaritas....$2.29 for a clean, slightly spicy, organic mixer for my margaritas? HECK YES!!!! Gosh I'm such a sucker for a spicy cocktail. Do you have to add tequila to this? No way, Jose. It is still a super refreshing summer sip that would wow your guests at your next cookout.
7. Just Beets Chips
Since I'm bananas for beets, I nearly tinkled my pants when I saw these. No salt, no oil, no nothin- just beautifully dehydrated beets. While I enjoy them straight from the bag, they would rock scooping up guacamole, salsa, or hummus. Just $2.99 for beet beauty.
8. Parsnip Chips
Move over carrots, cause your paler but more flavorful cousin is here and does not mess around. With only three ingredients- parsnips, oil, and salt- these flavorful crisps are tasty on their own or as a dipper. They are a little greasy, which makes them a sneaky alternative to potato chips. $2.99 for more nutritious chips? Works for me!
9. Ginger Caramel Popcorn
A little sweet, a little salty, and a little spicy, this popcorn pretty much blew my mind. The tiny pieces of crystallized ginger really sealed the deal for me. At $2.99, this could make a killer cocktail party snack if paired with some roasted cashews and dried cranberries or pineapple. Talk about a party mix! Plus, no dairy or gluten...that means it's healthy, right?
10. Gigi Prosecco
ORGANIC PROSECCO!!!! FOR $9.99!!!!! I've found when I opt for organic wines, I'm not as dehydrated, thus I can enjoy a little more (which is both good and bad). Enjoy atop grapefruit juice for a refreshing brunch cocktail or serve it straight for a bubbly sip. Not too sweet with a smooth finish, this prosecco is one that could even be paired with a light summer meal like grilled chicken, shrimp, or mahi mahi.
Alrighty you cutie patooties out there, that's all for this month. And, just like Aldi, if you see anything in this list that strikes your fancy, you'd better SPRINT over to Trader Joe's today before it's gone!
