As of TODAY, I am +/- 2 weeks until D-Day!
I say +/- because I have absolutely NO CLUE when this boy is getting here. I'm barely starting to dilate and haven't had any form, fashion, or flicker of a contraction. While I'm hoping he keeps cooking until his due date which just so happens to fall on my school's Spring Break (impeccable timing, right?), I know he will join me when he's ready.
No rush, little buddy. You do you.
This is probably going to be my final pregnancy update, seeing as I could technically go into labor at any point now.
As I've shared all along, pregnancy has been and continues to be a blast. It's been waaaaay more comfortable and easy than I anticipated. I don't expect labor and delivery and recovery to be as easy breezy as my pregnancy, but God only knows what's in store for us. I trust in Him 100%.
Like last time, I'm reaching out to all y'all veteran mommas for some final advice (thank you SO much for your hospital bag advice. Mine has been packed, unpacked, and repacked about 7 times these past few weeks). Today's question I have for y'all to answer is this: What are some things I SHOULD and SHOULD NOT do these last two weeks (hopefully) leading up to delivery? In terms of nesting and organizing to-dos, I'd say I've done a SOLID job. But I'm still eager to hear your advice! Leave me a comment below you fabulous mammas!
Aversions: Nothing that I don’t normally avoid- mayonnaise, licorice, fried food- still not happening on my plate.
Cravings: Same old same old, including but not limited to...
Sleep: Still one of my favorite times of the day.
Weight Gain: Slow and steady…at this point (38 weeks) I’ve gained roughly 20-25 pounds. I know I should gain a few more pounds these last few weeks, but I really don’t worry too much about it knowing how necessary it is for my son’s health. I’m also reassured knowing I’m gaining weight in a healthy way, fueling my boy with plenty of healthy fats and nutrient-dense foods.
Workouts: Still hittin’ the gym 5-6 days a week.
Let’s Chat: Here’s my pregnancy question of the day, remember? What are some things I should and should NOT do these last few weeks leading up to delivery? In terms of nesting and organizing, I’d say I’ve done a pretty solid job. But I’d love to hear your advice!!!
