Good morning sunshines!
Happy New Year’s Eve Eve.
Ya know, the day before the day before New Year’s Eve.
Whether you’ve got big plans of hosting a schwanky shindig or big plans with Netflix, the couch, and some bacon-wrapped shrimp, a bubbly cocktail is a MUST.
It’s New Year’s Eve, after all. A night of celebrating another year past and celebrating another year to come.
Think you have nothing to celebrate?
You’re alive, hanging out here with me, clearly interested in a healthier life for yourself.
That’s pretty solid, y’all.
If that doesn’t seem enough, this cocktail will put a little celebratory pep in your step for sure!
Just 3 wholesome ingredients and a bottle of bubbles are all ya need to turn your otherwise lackluster New Year’s Eve into something certainly worthy of your Instagram story.
Can a girl really pick her favorite sparkling wine?
Of course not! That’s like asking a mom to pick her favorite child.
However, picking my favorite sparkling cocktail…that’s easy!
It’s this sophisticated number right here that I dreamed up a few weeks ago.
Where did I get the idea?
I always have mountains of blackberries on hand for Mr. McNugget, and I just bought two rosemary bushes for my backyard.
Not a very exciting or glamorous inspiration story, but that’s how I thought it up.
And before I show y’all the recipe, I wanna give you the heads up that this recipe requires making your own simple syrup. I pinky promise that y’all don’t need to be weary of making your own simple syrup. It goes a little something like this:
THAT’S IT! Observe...
And if you have leftovers, this syrup is MAGICAL over pancakes, a fruit salad, or even mixed with a little balsamic vinegar over grilled chicken or pork tenderloin.
While I kinda missed the boat this year, this would make a fantastic homemade gift for friends and neighbors next year.
Nonetheless, this may be a little syrup I keep on hand in my fridge at all times.
Cause you never know when you wanna take your bubbly to the next level.
