So February came and went in a BLUR!
What happened in February? Ummm, I grew larger and larger by the second. It was unseasonably warm. I had a few baby showers and went into full-blown nesting mode.
Aside from that, I didn’t realize how quickly the month went by. I guess that’s why I’m just now getting around to sharing my favorite things from the last month…s didn’t realize it was over until we were a week into March. My bad…
Anyways, like every month, I’ve got a batch of goodies, media, and overall jolly good fun to share with y’all, hoping some of these things will bring you and your life just a little more joy and delight as they have done for mine.
And if you don’t dig em’, I can always try again next month.
1. Lego Batman
Yes, I am an adult. No, I don't have a son yet. But I went to Lego Batman out of my own free will and absolutely loved it. If you haven't seen the original Lego Movie, I HIGHLY recommend it. It's one of those kids movies that adults will find just as funny as the kiddos.
2. Burt's Bees Honey Lotion
While perusing Burt's Bee's baby products at Target, I stumbled upon this lotion that I originally tested at a Cracker Barrel back in the day (you had to find something entertaining to do while waiting for your table, right?). Slightly sweet without being overpowering, I also enjoy the thickness of the lotion. I HATE watery lotion, and this certainly wouldn't qualify as so.
3. Dash Yogurt Maker
While I thought I drew a short straw after unwrapping this bad boy at my family's white elephant Christmas party a few months back, I finally decided to give it a whirl by experimenting with homemade goat yogurt. All I had to do was heat goat milk, mix it with some already made yogurt, and pour it into the maker. I plugged it in, turned it on, and 8 hours later had a quart of homemade goat milk yogurt. Sweet! Don't worry...further experiments will ensue.
4. Jodi Picoult's Perfect Timing
In typical Jodi Picoult fashion, this novel follows several different narrators in different time periods. With each passing chapter, we get closer and closer to solving the mystery, which never unfolds as we could possibly imagine. This novel is well-written yet easy to read. Perfect for getting in a few pages before bedtime, while on a plane, or, if I don't pick up the pace, while my son naps.
5. Dark Chocolate+Macadamia Nuts
After making my chocolate bark for Valentine's Day and experimenting with this flavor combination, I was quickly SOLD on its deliciousness. The richness of the chocolate, the butteriness of the macadamia nuts...OMG y'all. Getcha some.
6. Blackberry Cucumber La Croix
Upon reading the label, I was highly skeptical that the cucumber flavor would actually be enjoyable. I was fearful it would end up tasting soapy, but this may be my favorite flavor yet! They're kinda hard to find, so stock up when you find them!
7. Workout Jams
From my spotify to yours, happy jamming and lifting and sweating and such!
