Hey there, Friday!
You’ve made it! Way to go! Some how, it’s nearly April, which means it’s nearly Easter!
And I’m already thinking ahead to those Easter picnics and brunches and post-church lunches that y’all are gonna be enjoying next weekend.
Which is exactly why I’ve created today’s recipe!
It’s a make-ahead side that would be egggggggsellent at your Easter extravaganza!
Sorry, I couldn’t help myself there.
I’ve taken traditional yet delicious deviled eggs and married them with my simple but beloved bacon guacamole to create a creamy, salty, savory bite of brunch perfection.
All without any dairy or gluten.
Wanna impress at your next picnic? This make-ahead, kid-friendly crowd-pleaser will have y’all covered.
Good morning, sugar dumplins!
How are you this fine, almost February morning?
Well, I’m a bit down…you see, I’ve just realized football season is about to come to its official end.
Sad, I know.
And while basketball season is still rocking on, I’m not a basketball kind of girl.
Shocking, I know.
So, instead of having a pity party over the conclusion of football for the time being, I’m having a PALEO PARTY instead!
Cause when watching football, ya just gotta have snacks.
And what better snack than my bite-sized bundles of buffalo chicken goodness.
Um, maybe PALEO/WHOLE 30/KETO RANCH DRESSING!!!
That’s exactly what’s going down today.
So whether you’re a football kinda person or you just watch for the half-time show, this easy peasy recipe is a winner for everyone.
Too bad that’s not going to be the case with the Eagles and the Patriots this weekend...someone's gotta win, and someone's gotta lose...all I know is we won't be losers with this recipe!
Are you a Super Bowl kinda person?
Personally, I will watch the Super Bowl for 1- Peyton Manning (sigh, no longer an option), 2- the clever commercials, and 3- Lady GaGa, Bruno Mars, JT, or whoever the pop sensation is that’s performing that year.
And I like to host a Super Bowl partay 100% for the food (and as an excuse to clean my house and buy flowers).
Am I hosting this year? Most likely. Mr. HHT likes to give me a 6 hour notice that 10 of his buddies are heading our way for the big game.
So, if you find yourself in that same boat this weekend, I’ve got you COVERED!
No need to rush through the junk food aisle of Wal-Mart, tossing every form or fashion of chip and dip into your basket, cause come Super Bowl night you’ll be noshing on a whole lotta bloating, dehyradtion, and regret.
This round-up has something for my Keto, Paleo, Vegan, and even Whole 30 friends, ranging from make-ahead dips to bacon-wrapped bites and soul-warming, slow cooker chilis.
Feel free to pin this round-up to use for any potlucks and gatherings all winter long!
Hummus with corn chips. Hummus with baby carrots. Hummus with bell pepper slices. Hummus with deli turkey. Hummus on a burger.
There’s a lot of things you can dip into hummus, believe me.
Unfortunately, hummus is on the no fly-list in the paleo world (beans=no bueno ).
And as a former hummus addict, I’ve been missing that creamy, velvety dip for years.
So finally, FINALLY, I’ve come up with a way to enjoy my beloved hummus again without the digestive repercussions…
Are you ready for this one? Are you sure? It’s kinda out there…
Gosh, that pale little pal can do it all!
From cream sauces to mashed potatoes and now hummus, it sure is a varied lil veggie.
So with just a few basic ingredients, a blender, and roughly 120 seconds of your life, you can have your own paleo+vegan+whole 30 hummus for a few bucks.
Budget-friendly AND figure-friendly?!
Well howdy partners!
How y’all doin?
Long time no chat, huh? Or so it feels.
I haven’t gone off the radar with y’all, rather I’ve allowed myself a little time off, too.
Ever since arriving here in Tennessee on Christmas Eve, it’s been nice to take a break from recipe creating, post writing, and photography for a few days.
However, we’ve got another foodie holiday tiptoeing our way, and I wanna give y’all a few festive recipes that could make the New Year all the brighter.
And this first one today would be a rockin app for your New Year’s Eve partray or snack to savor while watching the boocoos of bowl games on your couch.
Let me just paint this picture for y’all: tender shrimp, snuggled in a crispy, salty blanket of bacon, brushed with a little sweet and spicy glaze.
4 ingredients. Under 30 minutes.
Oh, and this gem is 100% gluten-free and paleo.
Who says eating healthy has to be boring?
Like I told y’all last week, there’s just something about Christmastime that makes me wanna cook up all variations of pork I can think of.
From wrapping dates in bacon to coating ground pork in almond flour, I love pork. It’s juicy. It’s salty. It can crisp up like nobody’s business.
It’s just what the holiday season needs to balance all that sugar.
Just picture it; what better way to balance out that Paleo German Chocolate Pecan Pie than a few nibbles of these salty morsels?
And this recipe will make for a fabulous savory addition to your upcoming Christmas brunch or even New Year’s Eve shindig.
Why? Well, these lovelies-
Need I say more?
No, I think not.
