For many of you Texas teachers out there, the inevitable has already come and you are, in fact, already back at school.
However, I know school sans children isn't all that dreadful of a place to be. But come next week, those tater tots will be in your classrooms ready to unleash all of their...greatness (I had to think of the best word to use there) upon you.
When it comes to going back to school, I always felt like this- both as a teacher and a student. Dragging my feet yet feeling like I had something to prove.
To all parents of children old enough to be allowed to grace the halls of learning facilities for hours of the day, you are probably counting down the minutes until the long-awaited first day of school.
Whether you're a teacher, student, parent, or someone whose life isn't impacted by summer whatsoever, we can all appreciate a round-up of delicious, make-ahead, PALEO breakfast recipes that can persuade us to hop outta bed when our Taylor Swift alarm starts buzzing a little earlier than we'd prefer.
Or if you are the parent of a child not quite old enough to being attending school despite how brilliant you think he or she is, you're alarm clock still is that little baby genius. Mine goes off anywhere between 5:45 a.m. and 6:45 a.m. Not too shabby. I can't complain about those hours.
To make those early morning hours as tolerable and do I dare say pleasant as possible, arm yourself and your fridge with these breakfasts to grab-n-go for those crazy mornings. Heck, you may actually start looking forward to the morning. Maybe...

1. Chocolate Chip Zucchini Bread
A fantastic excuse to sneak in a little chocolate first thing in the morning. Plus, the sneaky zucchini adds a burst of vitamins and keep this loaf tender and flavorful.
2. Blueberry Muffins
Bursting with brightness from juicy blueberries, these muffins will not disappoint. Canned pumpkin adds a burst of vitamins and moisture. Try these lovelies topped with ghee, almond butter, or coconut butter.
3. Pumpkin Protein Breakfast Pudding
Too soon for pumpkin? NEVER! Protein-rich eggs, fiber and vitamin-loaded canned pumpkin, and a few other simple ingredients make this pumpkin pie breakfast pudding a complete breakfast. I top mine with a lil coconut yogurt and fruit.
4. Carrot Cake Granola
All the flavors of carrot cake in a crunchy granola you can munch on the go. Throw it in some grassed or coconut yogurt, plop on top of a smoothie, or just toss into a baggie to devour on its own.
5. Zucchini Bread Overnight Oats
No cooking required to enjoy all of the warmth and spice of freshly baked zucchini bread, plus two servings of vegetables. Add a few scoops of protein powder to up its staying power.
6. Bacon-Egg Biscuit Casserole
All the yumminess of that drive-thru biscuit without the drive-thru! While my version is half store-bought (for Mister) and partly Paleo biscuits, you could easily adapt this recipe to all of one or the other to fit you and your family's palette and needs.
7. Apple Bacon Quiche
Crunchy bacon, tender apples, and fluffy eggs make up this savory-sweet breakfast bake. Subtle spinach kicks up the nutrition profile without taking away from the other flavors.
8. Baked Eggs in Avocado
Creamy avocado, rich eggs, and crispy prosciutto make for an insanely delicious and simple breakfast. Subtitute bacon or deli ham for the prosciutto if you want!
9. Butternut, Sausage, and Sage Quiche Muffins
While fall is still a few months away, these egg muffins capture all the season's flavors. Loaded with clean protein, fat, and carbs, this is a complete, handheld meal.
To make these ahead of time, throw the ingredients into a baggie the night before (minus the liquid) and store it in the freezer. When morning arrives, empty the baggie into your blender with a cup or so of nondairy milk. Done and done!
10. Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Shake
A peanut butter shake that actually fuels the body? You betcha! Indulgent yet nutritious, this shake will have you outta bed before the alarm even goes off.
11. Zucchini Bread Smoothie
Trade the oven for your blender to enjoy zucchini bread with this recipe. Frozen zucchini, spinach, dates, and nondairy milk come together in this creamy breakfast sip.
12. Dark Chocolate Cherry Smoothie
Chocolate-covered cherries in a bowl is pretty much what you get with this milkshake-like smoothie. Sweet-tooth satisfaction that does your body good.
13. Pumpkin Protein Shake
If you're just as obsessed with pumpkin as I am, than this one is for you! If you don't love pumpkin, you could swap it out for frozen banana for a solid shake.
